setting up shipping based on percentage of amount

To enable shipping based on percentage of amount:
  1. Click on Products > Manage Shipping
  2. Click on the Percentage of Amount Option
  3. On the Manage Shipping Window, enter the details:



  4. Enter the percentage amount in decimal format. 

    For example, for 10%, enter 0.10.  This will calculate a shipping amount that is equivalent to 10% of the total sale amount.

  5. If you want to use a tax zone to add taxes to this shipping method, enable the Use Tax Zone option and select a tax zone from the Select Tax Zone dropdown.
  6. If you want to charge a handling fee, enter the full amount in the Handling Fee field.
  7. Save it.
  8. Make sure to click on Status icon to activate this shipping module
