Send Status Updates to all of your Social Networking Sites with JEM
If you want to post status updates to facebook, twitter, linkedin and other social networking sites when you publish a new blog entry, you can use Ping.fm.
Ping.fm is a third party social networking service that allows you to send status updates to a variety of social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Blogger and more with just one message. Ping.FM sends that exact message to all of your social networking sites at once, thereby saving you a lot of time from sending it one at a time to each site.
To enable this functionality in JEM, please follow these instructions:
- Get a Ping.fm account. Once you create an account, setup all of your social networking sites in Ping.FM.
- Secondly, you must apply for an application key.
- Once you get an application key, you must enter that key in JEM
- Click on Settings > Global
Configuration > Content > Content Settings - Set the Enable Ping.FM Updates to enable
- Enter your Ping.FM application key in the Ping.FM Application Key field.
- Once you have saved your settings, a new field in your content article details area will show up.

- You can enter the status update that you want to show on your social networking sites.
- Now, when your cron jobs run, JEM will send the status update to Ping.FM, which in turn will post it to all of your social networking sites automatically.
