What is an Affiliate Group?
In JEM, affiliate groups are used to separate affiliate members who have different affiliate payouts. For example, if you have 2 affiliates, Bob and Jen. Bob can be in the default affiliate group earning 10% commission, while Jen can be in the second group earning 15% commissions on her referrals to your store.
You can use affiliate groups in different ways. For instance, you can use the concept of affiliate groups to create performance tiers, whereby your affiliates can be promoted to higher affiliate groups with higher commission payouts based on their referrals, such as total sales or total commissions earned.
Another option would be to have users subscribe to a membership that you have in JEM and have them added automatically to a higher affiliate group with higher payout amounts.
