using dynamic tags for menu items
Dynamic tags in menus are only needed for the following:
- Easy portability - If you use dynamic tags for certain parts of your site, JEM will automatically create those links for you, with the correct base URL and path. This makes it easier to move your site from one domain to another. If you enter links manually, such as
http://www.domainA.com/store
Then when you have to move to a different domain, let's say domainB.com, you will have to go into the menu maker and edit all those links manually.
By using dynamic tags, JEM generates those links correctly for you whatever site or domain name is.
